About Leia

LICENSED Mental Health Counselor Associate, Queer Focused

Leia is originally from North Florida but is continually happy to call Washington her home state. A Florida State University graduate who is completing her Master's in Licensed Mental Health Counseling, Leia actively welcomes couples counseling, group counseling, and individual counseling. As an out and proud transgender woman, Leia is an advocate for all LGBTQ+ people and is passionate about counseling this community.

Leia enjoys engaging in counseling people from those that need, want, and are even hesitant about the journey. She is passionate about changing life outcomes with rumination-focused cognitive behavioral therapy with an innate attachment to the power of empathy. She believes in understanding trauma, doubt, and fear in a safe space void of judgment and reactivity. Leia continues her efforts towards creating inclusivity, cultural awareness, and efforts towards reconnection with others and one's self.

Leia works under the supervision and training of Dr. Misty Gibson.

During Leia’s time as an intern at FlowArt Therapy, she will offer reduced rate sliding fee scale sessions from $60-$150. Please inquire about different session times and fees.
